BEDAT & Co was founded in 1996 by Christian Bedat and Simone Bedat. They presented their first collections in 1997 at the Basel Show and found great success. In 2000 the Gucci Group acquired 85% of the company. It is now fully owned by the Gucci Group. Sold initially in Switzerland and the USA, BEDAT & Co watches are now sold throughout the world. They are contemporary classics that mix innovation and tradition.
Each BEDAT & Co collection is distinguished by a numeral. No 1 are waisted squares, No 2 are oval-shaped, No 3 features tonneau shaped cases, No 7 watches are rectangular, and No 8 uses a circle in a cushion shape. Every BEDAT & Co watch carries the "8" maker's mark and has an Appellation d'Origine Suisse Certifiee (A.O.S.C.®). The A.O.S.C.® certificate guarantees that BEDAT & Co meet the strict requirements of Swiss quality in the components and skills that go into making each watch.
BEDAT & Co produces luxury watches and chronographs in 18-carat gold, platinum, and stainless steel and with leather straps and offers both automatic and quartz movements.
