Cuckoo Clocks

Many people think of cuckoo clocks as an invention of the Swiss, but they originated, in fact, in Germany's Black Forest region, about the middle of the 19th century.

A cuckoo clock is a novelty clock nearly universally beloved. At the top of the hour, a small door opens and reveals a toy cuckoo bird whose chirp is made with the striking of the hour. In some of the best cuckoo clocks the bird will move its head and/or open its beak.

You will find an ever-changing selection of new, vintage, and antique cuckoo clocks here, so please come back often.
