Piaget Watches For Men and Ladies
George Piaget was a farmer turned watchmaker in the village of La-Cote-aux-Fees, Switzerland. His watch company was founded in 1874 when he began to make more money from his beautiful watches than from farming. The quality of his work quickly established him with some of Switzerland’s most famous names (Breguet, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, and Zenith were among his clients). Eventually his sons took over the business.
Up to World War II, Piaget's watches were marketed through other companies, but in 1945 grandson Gerald Piaget decided to build a factory and control the entire manufacturing process. This is when the Piaget name first appeared on the company’s dials and when the name came to the forefront of the watch world. It has remained there ever since. Its jewelry watches are extraordinary works of art. Among Piaget’s best known watch lines and models are Gouverneur, Georges Piaget, Piaget Polo, Citea, Emperador, Dancer, Polo, Tanagra, Protocol, Possession, Altiplano, and a number of different chronographs.
