Bulgari (Bvlgari)

Watches For Men and Women

Silversmith Sotirio Bulgari left Greece in 1879, moved to Italy, and opened his first shop in Rome. In 1905, with his sons Constantino and Giorgio, he moved to Via Condotti, where the Bulgari flagship shop continues to do business.

The brothers built a flourishing international jewelry business. They began selling watches in the 1920s, using movements from top Swiss manufacturers. This changed when they launched their first collection in 1977. The collection was so successful that Bulgari Time was founded in Neuchatel, Switzerland in order to create and produce Bulgari watches.

One of the most famous and fabulous watches created by Bulgari was designed as a serpent and introduced in the 1940s. In later decades it became more stylized. Bulgari-Bulgari has been one of the company’s most popular lines. It’s a round model with the Bulgari name engraved twice on the bezel and is now considered a classic. The Quadrato, an 18-karat gold watch set with diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and emeralds on matching gold bracelets, has been one of the company’s most fabulous designs. Both the Quadrato and the Bulgari-Bulgari were available with the famous Tubogas Wraparound snake bracelet.

Bvlgari timepieces shown here include new watches, pre-owned watches, and vintage watches.
