Piolaine White Marble and Ormolu Mantel Clock, Paris, c. 1815, the base with an ormolu frieze along the edge, bun feet and buttressed columns with gilt caryatids on variegated gray plinths, the arabic numeral dial signed Piolaine a Paris, pierced and gilt hour and minute hands, blued steel calendar hand reading the days of the month in red at the outer edge of the dial, flanked by two seated putti and capped with a spreadwing eagle and garland draperies, large probable two-week duration time and strike round movement with silk thread suspension, count wheel strike and cast sunburst pendulum, ht. 22 in.
